Programs <Turn in Poachers
Turn in Poachers, Inc. (TIP) is a non-profit Georgia conservation organization whose mission is to protect wildlife by increasing public support for wildlife law enforcement. TIP board members are volunteers who share an interest in wildlife and a desire to provide a poaching deterrent by offering a monetary reward for information on wildlife violations.
The Georgia Wildlife Federation has served on the Turn in Poachers Board continuously since its organization. In 1987, the GWF Board of Directors unanimously approved a resolution to reimburse TIP for all rewards paid in cases involving white-tailed deer. Because most of the TIP rewards have been for deer cases, the GWF has contributed almost half of all the funds received by TIP throughout its history. Working with other TIP Partners, GWF continues to raise money and raise awareness of the need for strong prosecution of the violation of wildlife laws and regulations. Law enforcement remains the first and most effective tool of professional wildlife management. To turn in a poacher, call 1-800-241-4113 or 404-656-4863 in the Atlanta area.
