GWF has been a sponsor of Georgia Hunters for the Hungry since its beginning in 1993. The program aims to feed hungry people throughout Georgia by collecting deer harvested by hunters, processing them into ground venison and then distributing them to the food banks. Learn more. |

GWF offers hunter safety courses at the Alcovy Conservation Center in Covington, GA. These courses are designed to prepare hunters for safe and ethical hunting. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive the certification needed to obtain a Georgia hunting license. Learn more. |

As a nationally recognized pioneer of the Schoolyard Wildlife Habitat program, GWF has helped develop hundreds of educational wildlife habitats at schools throughout the state. Many of these habitats are certified by the National Wildlife Federation, indicating that they meet strict requirements for the four elements - water, cover, places to raise young, food - necessary to attract and sustain wildlife.
