Charlie spent his 44-year working careerwith The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. In 1988, he retired as Regional Manager of the Commercial Tire Division headquartered in Atlanta. During his time with Goodyear, he was extensively involved with construction, mining, agriculture and highway transportation activities throughout the lower half of the U.S. and the Caribbean.
Charlie was drawn to GWF through his interest in conserving our native habitat. He has been an active member of GWF since 1987 and is a lifetime member. Charlie has given countless hours to GWF over the years serving as a County Representative, Director at large, NWF Delegate, Vice Chair, Chair, Habitat Steward, as well as speaking to numberous garden and civic groups on GWF's behalf.
A twenty year veteran photographer, his favorite subjects include wildlife, nature, landscape, and architecture. He is an avid Gardener and serves his community through the Georgia Master Gardener Program.
In his spare time, Charlie enjoys photography, travelling, and tending to his vegetable garden and landscape. He is married to R. Lease and has two sons and four grand children.
