9am - Noon
Come have fun at this free event and enjoy a walk in an 88-acre green space with two creeks, nestled between a busy interstate highway and a large regional mall. We will have discovery stations dispersed along the trails about water ecology, trees, The Black Bear Project, dragonfiles, Southern Wings Bird Club, Georgia Nature Photographers Association, invasive and native plants, and GWF. We will have a limited number of Chick-fil-A coupons to Rivers Alive t-shirts to give away.
Meet at the gravel parking lot adjacent to the Bird Watchers Supply Store (1999B Mall of Georgia Blvd) and sign in at the registration table. Look for the MCNC banner at the corner of Mall of Georgia Blvd and Nature Center Parkway.
Wear closed-toed shoes and bring your own water and insect repellent with you.
