Hunter Education
GWF offers hunter education courses at the Alcovy Conservation Center in Covington, GA and in conjunction with the Perry Buckarama in August and the Great Outdoors Show in February. These courses are designed to prepare hunters for safe and ethical hunting. Upon successful completion of the course, participants receive the certification needed to obtain a Georgia hunting license. Participants must pre-register online at the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' website (www.georgiawildlife.com). Classes will be re-scheduled if the minimum number of participants is not met.
GWF has partnered with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources to host hunter education classes for over 20 years. All Hunter Education Courses, including the ones held at GWF Headquarters, are free of charge to all Georgia residents.
